Dominicans learned that US Ambassador Robin Bernstein has been recovering from breast cancer. In a tweet, the US Embassy shares the news and honors the ambassador: “The Embassy honors Ambassador Robin Bernstein, who overcame breast cancer in recent months and hopes to return to the Dominican Republic soon to continue serving her country and sharing with the Dominican people. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.”
The health problems of the US ambassador were unknown in the Dominican Republic until the information was published on Monday, 8 June 2020.
