The Central Electoral Board (JCE) announces that both citizens in the Dominican Republic and abroad can verify themselves and confirm the location of their polling place online. These show up by entering the ID and voting card number.
Dominican citizens will be choosing from 1,868 candidates that are competing for 264 elective positions on 5 July 2020, in the Dominican Republic and select cities abroad. The President, Vice President and legislators will be sworn in on 16 August 2020. Voters will be electing a new President, Vice President, 32 senators, 190 deputies to represent the National District and 31 provinces and three voting districts abroad. Also, 20 deputies representing the Central American Parliament (Parlacen) and their substitutes.
