According to Coronavirus Bulletin #87 of the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology, the Dominican Republic has 22,962 confirmed cases, 390 new confirmed cases from 109,022 PCR diagnostic tests. The tally of deaths is 592, including 15 new deaths, 12 of these in Greater Santo Domingo. 2,735 patients are hospitalized. Of these, 134 patients are in intensive care units. The number of coronavirus-related deaths has increased to average 6.7 over the past 14 days, reflecting the reopening of the economy. The fatality rate continues to decline and as of Bulletin #87 is at 2.58%.

The average per day of PCR diagnostic tests for the past 14 days is 1,959, down from 2,010 at the start of the weekend. As of Saturday, 13 June 2020 at 4pm, the most confirmed cases continue to be reported in urban areas. Greater Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo province and the National District) has 53.5% of the 22,962 total confirmed cases. Santiago, San Cristobal, La Vega, Duarte (San Francisco de Macorís), Espaillat, La Romana, La Altagracia (Higuey, Verón, Punta Cana), Puerto Plata, Azua, Monseñor Nouel (Bonao), Barahona, Sánchez Ramírez (Cotuí) and Hermanas Mirabal (Salcedo) are provinces that have 200 or more cases.
The most new cases or recently allocated cases are reported for the 13 June deadline are: Santo Domingo Province (169), National District (135), Santiago (20), San Cristóbal (15), Barahona (13), La Romana (12), La Altagracia (6), San Pedro de Macorís (6), Azua (4), La Vega (2), Valverde (2), Monseñor Nouel (2) and La Vega (2). The Ministry of Public Health reports one or no confirmed cases in 20 of 31 provinces and the National District.
