Two daughters of Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) presidential candidate, Luis Abinader caught Covid-19. Their parents had announced on Wednesday, 10 June 2020 that they tested positive to the disease last week. Now of the Abinader-Arbaje family, Luis Abinader, Raquel Arbaje and two of his three daughters, 18-year old daughter Adriana and 23-year old daughter Esther have also tested positive. The Abinader family says that the two daughters, like the parents, have mild symptoms.
“We take care of each other,” Abinader said, referring to his wife’s care. He said that nights and mornings are the times when the fever rises the most, and that the hardest days so far have been last Thursday and Friday, when they felt the most fever and headache.
Despite his condition, the politician says he continues to work from his studio at home. He said he was asymptomatic until five days after testing positive. The politician was being tested weekly.
