Hotel Association publishes first protocols

Tourist arrivals expected to be slow in July. The leading private sector tourism association released the first document approved by the Medina administration on 30 June 2020. The document is dated 29 June. The document was published one day before the announced opening of the tourism industry on 1 July.

Included in the protocols are measures for electronic pre check in and check out. Digital or verbal menus. Tables at restaurants will not seat more than 10 people together, there will be no self-serve buffets.

Beaches and sports facilities are for limited use. The protocols ensure there is no crowding. There will be no group activities at the hotels, nor live entertainment.

The protocols follow international guidelines in place in leading tourism destinations around the world.
