
The Dominican government is the largest employer in the country. The Medina administration added hundreds of thousands of employees to an already burgeoning payroll. Now, with the change of government, the Medina administration announces the rules for any removing of government employees by the next government.
Notification No. 0004295, of the Ministry of Public Administration details the rights of civil servants, categorizing them as those that can be removed without benefits and those that are career civil servants that are protected under Civil Service Law 41-08.
