
President Luis Abinader appointed 42-year old Felipe Antonio (Fellito) Suberví Hernández as the new director of the Santo Domingo Water and Sewage Corporation (CAASD). He takes over from engineer Alejandro Montas who had eight years in the position.
He is a civil engineering graduate from the Santo Domingo Technology Institute (Intec) in 2001 with graduate studies in construction management from the same university.
A professional politician, he served as president of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) in the National District.
Present for the swearing-in was Public Health Minister Plutarco Arias.
Suberví is the son of former Santo Domingo city mayor, Rafael (Fello) Suberví Bonilla.
