Everything seems to be back to the old normal at the Santo Domingo Metro. N Digital reports that when service was restored after the relaxing of the lockdown, physical distancing was applied. This is no more the norm. People are crammed into the cars, especially at peak times.
N Digital reports that by 5:15pm, with curfew just two hours away, the number of people that rush to catch the Santo Domingo “seems surreal.” No one is respecting physical distance. The only preventive measure people are complying with is wearing masks.
As reported, Santo Domingo Metro security agents (Cesmet) are just “participating observers” and do not take action.
The Santo Domingo Metro office recommends using the metro from 8:30am to 4:30pm, when passengers’ flow is less.
