Decree 368-20 closes the Office of the First Lady, a mega government department with a budget for 2020 of over RD$907 million. First Lady Raquel Arbaje had said earlier she could do with a staff of around five people. The decree places the program for special needs (CAID) handled by the First Lady Office under the Ministry of Public Health. An assessment committee is designated to determine whether First Lady Office programs are merged or closed.
