A video circulated on social media showing a man who picks up two cups of coffee from a vending machine at a food store of a gasoline station, seemingly is about to leave without paying, and then has a discussion with the store employee. He ends the conversation by tossing the two cups of hot coffee at the young woman.
The scene went viral on Friday in an attempt to identify the person. The person was identified as Jazhiel Morel, administrator of the Washington Nationals Baseball Academy in Boca Chica. The Nationals general manager was prompt to respond: We do not tolerate this type of behavior in our organization. Morel was fired.
Morel has agreed to turn himself into police Monday morning, his lawyer, Rafael Ariza, told Dominican journalist Edith Febles. The affected woman, Raysa Vasquez was not injured and continued on the job.
