100s of cancellations in government

President Luis Abinader issued several degrees canceling upwards of 100 government officers. Among these are many prominent names. The cancellations cover areas under the Ministry of Culture, the Dominican Port Authority, National Water & Sewage Authority (INAPA), and the Comedores Economicos.

By Decree 366-20 at the Ministry of Culture several were removed from their positions. Among the canceled are folklorist Dagoberto Tejada, advisor to the National Carnival Commission; Maria Elena Ditren as director of the Museum of Modern Art; Pedro Antonio Valdez, executive director of the National Book Fair; the director of Museums of the Ministry of Culture, Ana Maria Conde; the director of the Bellas Artes Art Gallery, Marianne de Tolentino; the director of the National Theater, Erasmo (Niní) Caffaro.

At the Port Authority, with Decree 386-20, Abinader canceled 25 deputy directors.

With the same Decree 366-20, 14 deputy directors at INAPA were canceled.

Another 29 deputy directors at the Comedores Economicos, the governmental meal plan/cafeteria division, were canceled.
