Drugs camouflaged in scooters would have been shipped to Miami

The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) reported the seizing of eight kilos of cocaine scheduled to be shipped to Miami in mufflers and chassis of two scooters. The drugs were sniffed by the trained dog at the cargo area of the Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo.

“In total, 159 small portions, eight large portions and a package presumably of cocaine, weighing approximately 8.97 kilograms, were confiscated from the gas tank, mufflers and chassis tubes,” the press release states.

The DNCD and other agencies are investigating the person that would receive the shipment.
