
The Ministry of the Presidency is calling for people that have permissions to circulate during the curfew to get these revalidated. He said the present permits are only valid until 6 September 2020. Presidency Minister Lisandro Macarrulla said those that have the permits are being notified by email to renew these. Once the person receives the email, they will have 48 hours to print and distribute the permits to their staff.
The permission is only being issued for 50% of employees in a single company. The permit must be carried by the employee when circulating during curfew hours.
The Ministry of the Presidency explains that in the case of delivery employees authorized for cooked food distribution until 11pm, these must be duly identified, carry the permit and be carrying out their work duty for the permission to be valid. In the case of the deliverers who belong to independent companies such as Hugo, Uber Eats, Globo, PedidosYa and others, they must have visible the company’s identity to which they belong when circulating during curfew hours.
The current curfew limits traffic from Monday to Friday from 7pm to 5am and on Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm to 5am in Greater Santo Domingo, Santiago, San Cristobal, La Vega, Puerto Plata, Duarte, San Pedro de Macoris, La Romana, San Juan de la Maguana, La Altagracia, Azua, Monseñor Nouel, Sanchez Ramirez and Maria Trinidad Sanchez.
The schedule 8pm to 5am applies to Espaillat, Peravia, Barahona, Monte Plata, Valverde, Hermanas Mirabal, Monte Cristi, Samaná, Baoruco, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez, San José de Ocoa, Elías Piña, Independencia and Pedernales.
