President Luis Abinader named Daniel Antonio Liranzo, the executive director of the National Council of Free Export Zones (Decree 423-20). For years he has served as deputy director under Luisa Fernández Durán, whom he now replaces.
He was chosen from three candidates – Daniel Antonio Liranzo, José Manuel Torres (who is the executive vice president of the Dominican Free Zone Association) and José Martí in compliance with the guidelines for choosing the director for the CNZFE. The CNZFE is the government regulatory body for export free zones in the Dominican Republic.
