National Drug Control agents and Armed Forces members intercepted a truck transporting what is suspect to be 300 packages of cocaine near Batey Gato in La Romana. The packages of drugs were hidden in the back of the seats. The capture of the drugs followed intelligence operations.
Counter-narcotics agents and members of the Public Ministry participated in the operation. Six Dominicans were arrested in the case. These are two men in the truck, another in a SUV that was guarding the truck. The operation was head by La Romana prosecutor Reyna Cedeño.
