The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) announced the circulation of a RD$2,000 bill that incorporates new security measures. As reported, the security thread changes in color from green to blue with a drop effect of undulating sand. The year of the printing is at the bottom of the front of the banknote to facilitate the series’s identification. The image of founding father Juan Pablo Duarte is watermarked onto the bill.
