A former president of the Dominican Academy of History, Mu-Kien Adriana Sang Ben lamented on her Instagram account that the Ministry of Culture had fired Margarita González Auffant from her position of director of the Museo Alcázar de Colón, the Columbus Palace in the Colonial City. Sang Ben said the firing is unfortunate because Margarita González is the only graduate in museology in the country and had been carrying out her work without any faults. “Is this the promised change?” asked Sang Ben.
