Good government: Ministry of Environment accepts the challenge

It is refreshing to listen to government ministers with clear perspectives that they are on the job to correct what is wrong and modernize the Dominican government. The Dominican people voted for change.

DR1 News today shares extracts of an interview with new Environment Minister Orlando Jorge Mera. 25% of the Dominican Republic is declared National Park land. Over the past eight years, as never before, the implementation of the laws was twisted to benefit individual interests. Jorge Mera commits to revert to the rule of law for the collective interest. His efforts will be closely monitored, his successes celebrated.
