TUI Fly flights from Schiphol International Airport in Amsterdam will be landing in Curacao before making stops in Punta Cana and Montego Bay (Jamaica). The company announced it would be adapting triangle routes to the Caribbean with the stopovers to start this coming winter season.
As reported, last winter Montego Bay and Punta Cana had already been served by the triangular flights, while Punta Cana was also combined with Aruba. The flight schedule for winter 2020 for Punta Cana includes a once a week flight from Amsterdam-Punta Cana-Curacao-Amsterdam.
The fact that flights are now via Curaçao is due to “changes in market demand.” The airline said that flights will start once the negative travel advisories are removed. “We do not bring travelers to destinations with an orange travel advice,” said a spokeswoman for the airline, as reported in Curacao Chronicle.
