The Presidency announced President Luis Abinader will be in La Vega province this coming Thursday, 24 September for the celebration of the Mercedes Day religious holiday. The holiday celebrates the religious patron of the Dominican Republic, a heritage of the Spanish colonial days. He will participate in the celebration at the Nuestra Señora de Santo Cerro shrine
President Abinader is also scheduling meetings with government, business and community representatives.
