
China Ambassador Zhang Run hosted the Chamber of Deputies president, Alfredo Pacheco and former Presidents Leonel Fernández and Hipólito Mejía for the formal opening of the new offices in Piantini in the National District, as reported in Diario Libre.
The People’s Republic of China is now operating out of new offices in the capital city at Calle Freddy Prestol Castillo No. 4, Torre Bristol, Piantini.

In its reporting on the opening, Diario Libre highlights that Dominican exports to China have dropped 50% this year, going from US$180.5 million for the period January-August 2019 to the present US$88.5 million for the same period in 2020.
