
Adriano Miguel Tejada announces his retirement as executive editor at Diario Libre. Tejada is one of the free newspaper’s founders and has been its director for 16 years.
Tejada, who turns 72 this year, says his last day at Diario Libre will be Tuesday, 20 October 2020.
Manuel Arturo Pellerano, president of the Grupo Diario Libre, said that Tejada would dedicate himself to academia. He said that Tejada would continue to participate with Diario Libre as a member of the board of directors. Pellerano has not announced who would replace Tejada.
Adriano Miguel Tejada was born in Moca, Espaillat province in 1948. He graduated as a lawyer with post-graduate studies in Political Sciences. He has been a professor and university manager. He was the director of La Información newspaper in Santiago and for more than 25 years has been a radio and television commentator. He is a full member of the Dominican Academy of History.
