Senate to announce list of 30 candidates to the Central Electoral Board (JCE)

The Senate’s special committee for assessing candidates to the five member and five alternate positions in the Central Electoral Board (JCE) announced they will present the list of candidates on 4 November 2020. The list of 30 includes 12 women and 18 men. The plenary of 32 senators needs to select one member and one alternate from each of the ten lists for a total of 10 members.

The pre-selection was made after over 300 candidates presented their documents and sat for 10 minutes of the committee’s questions. The interviews were streamed on YouTube.
