
The Tax Agency (DGII) reports a surplus in October 2020. The DGII says that collections in October were RD$45.48 billion. This is RD$8.7 billion more than what had been estimated in the National Budget. It is RD$3.26 billion more, or 7% more, than what was collected in October 2019.
The DGII reports that from January to October 2020 an amount for RD$361.82 billion has been collected. This is RD$15.61 billion more than the estimate, equivalent to a compliance level of 104.5%.
The DGII says that October is the first month this year in which original estimates made for the 2020 National Budget (pre-Covid) has been met. The DGII says that the figure does not include the advance payment made by Barrick mining corporation.
