
Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez is in Haiti on an unofficial visit this Thursday and Friday (5-6 November 2020) to strengthen bilateral relations. The Ministry announced Alvarez will meet with Haitian government officers and private sector representatives. Alvarez said he seeks to get a first-hand overview of the present situation in Haiti. He will be meeting with foreign diplomats and representatives of multilateral organizations. Traveling with him are Pablo Portes, financial advisor to the Executive Branch; and Luis Soto, director of the National Investigations Bureau (DNI).
