It has been raining on and off in the Dominican Republic’s eastern, southeastern and coastal areas for three days now. The National Meteorological Office forecasts rains to continue for another two days. The rains already caused major flooding and 1,125 people were evacuated from their homes, reports the Center for Emergency Operations (COE).
