The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports a tropical wave crossing south of the Dominican Republic is bringing downpours to the island. It also forecasts abnormal waves for the Atlantic Coast. The forecast covers the northeast, Caribbean coastal coast, Central Mountain Range and the Haiti border area
Onamet warns of urban flooding, landslides, overflowing of rivers and streams in San Pedro de Macoris, Hato Mayor, Santiago, Azua, Samaná, San Juan de la Maguana, Pedernales, Puerto Plata, Espaillat (Moca), María Trinidad Sánchez (Nagua), Hermanas Mirabal (Salcedo), El Seibo and La Romana.
