The long-time director of the Dominican Red Cross, Dr. Ligia Leroux passed away on the early morning of Friday, 4 December 2020 due to complications caused by Covid-19 virus.
She had been the president of the Dominican Red Cross since 2000.
As reported, she was hospitalized in Santo Domingo for complications in the disease.
