President Luis Abinader was in La Caleta and Boca Chica this Saturday for the inauguration of a government hospital. The National Institute of Housing (Invi) was responsible for the completion of the hospital. President Abinader said the rush to finish the hospital is part of the priority the government is giving to public health.
The President took advantage of the visit to announce the start of work on an overpass for flow traffic to Andrés, Boca Chica and pedestrian bridges in a 10 km stretch between La Caleta and Boca Chica. The objective is to reduce road accidents and expedite traffic to the eastern tourist areas of Juan Dolio, Guayacanes, La Romana, Bayahibe, Punta Cana, all the way to Miches.
The project will be built by the firm Consorcio Autopista Las Américas, made up of the companies Grupo Rizek and Grupo Moya.
