The Ministry of Higher Education (Mescyt) and the Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED) announced agreements for Dominicans’ doctorates and scholarships. UNED is inviting Dominicans to enroll for the first international doctorate in communication and education in virtual environments. The programs provide scholarships to Dominican students for masters and doctoral programs
Higher Education Minister Franklin García Fermín signed for Mescyt and UNED rector Ricardo Mairal Usón for the Spanish university. Spanish ambassador in the country, Alejandro Abellán García, served as witness.
The agreement creates the Pablo Freire Chair of Educommunication and the first International Doctorate in Communication and Education in Virtual Environments.
