
President Luis Abinader announced spending cuts of RD$16.29 billion, or 60% less for September-December 2020 compared to September-December 2019. He said spending for the last quarter of the year is now at RD$11.04 billion compared to RD$27.3 billion by the Medina administration.
The National Budget Office is sharing a comparison of spending during the last quarter of the year in 2020 under the Abinader administration to the last quarter of the year in 2019 under the Medina administration.
Some of these are:
Abinader RD$1.52 billion on fuel, compared to Medina RD$2.17 billion
Abinader RD$199.9 million on entertainment and events, compared to RD$884.9 million Medina administration.
Vehicle purchases Abinader RD$84 million compared to RD$1.77 billion of the Medina administration
Photography and video equipping: Abinader RD$26.4 million compared to RD$373.7 million of the Medina administration
Professional technical services: Abinader RD$890 million, Medina RD$3.22 billion.
