
The government’s OMSA bus company announced two public transport routes to bring shoppers to Merca Santo Domingo in northern Santo Domingo. One route runs from Km. 13 on Av. Independencia-Luperón Avenue-Km 9 to Km 22 (Merca Santo Domingo).
The other route is from Km. 13 of Independencia Av, then Avenida Isabel Aguiar and Prolongación 27 e Febrero to connect to the Duarte highway and then the Km 22 of Merca Santo Domingo.
The routes will run exclusively on Sundays, from 6am to 4pm when the used clothes market is open.
The plan is to enable people to go shopping at the Merca Santo Domingo farmers’ market. The government has authorized that the used clothes flea market vendors push their goods on Sundays in the parking areas of the market.
