Former Vice President Margarita Cedeño tweeted on 31 December 2020 that she had tested positive for Covid-19 virus. She explained she was suffering from mild symptoms and would self-isolate at home.
In another message, the former Vice President called for Dominicans to buckle down to prevent the spread of the disease. “The resurgence is a reality that can only be faced with difficult but necessary measures. Take care! Do it for yourself and your family. Pray for me! God bless you and Happy New Year. I love you. Always, Margarita.”
