The Abinader administration says that all current social and economic challenges deserve the full attention of the government. For this reason, breaking with a year-naming tradition in place since 1967, there will not be a specific theme for 2021.
“For reasons of imperative rationality of expenditure and judging the impossibility of concentrating efforts on a single problem, President Luis Abinader has decided not to issue a decree declaring exclusive attention to a specific issue because he considers that all the current social and economic challenges deserve our attention,” the Presidency announced.
