The ProDominicana agency announces the availability of a new guide on investing in the Dominican Republic. Pro Dominicana is the Dominican government’s export and investment center. Its director, Biviana Riveiro Disla explains the guide provides relevant and updated information on the investment climate in the Dominican Republic and on existing regulations.
The purpose of the guide is to offer future investors the most relevant and updated information related to the Dominican Republic’s investment climate and the existing regulations, with a practical and functional perspective, says the guide’s press release.
The Dominican Republic Investment Guide was developed by ProDominicana, together with the Dominican Association of Foreign Investment Companies (ASIEX) and with the support of other entities such as the Dominican-German Chamber of Commerce, the Dominican-French Chamber of Commerce. The Dominican Embassy in Russia and Qatar also cooperated for the Russian and Arabic versions.
Vice President Raquel Peña was present for the launching of the new guide.
During the presentation, Edwin De los Santos, president of the Dominican Association of Foreign Investment Companies (ASIEX) said that currently foreign direct investment companies based in the Dominican Republic reinvest at least 50% of their profits. He explained this is an important indicator of investor confidence in the Dominican business climate and a clear sign of the foreign companies’ commitment to continue supporting the Dominican economy.
“Undoubtedly, the positive indicators shown by foreign investment in the Dominican Republic, is not only due to an effective policy of openness for investors, but is also the result of the synergy of continuous work and the alliance of the public and private sector,” said De los Santos.
The ProDominicana investment guide is available in Spanish, English, French and German. As of February, it will also be available in digital format in Arabic, Mandarin, Turkish and Polish.
