Aguilas Cibaeñas win their first game in Caribbean Series

The Aguilas Cibaeñas representing the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Series taking place in Mazatlán, Mexico won their first game. Playing against Puerto Rico’s Criollos de Aguas, Juan Lagares batted a home run in the third inning and a single that delivered the five runs of the victory. The DR won 5-1 in the first day of the series. The Puerto Ricans had taken the lead in the first inning. Playing for the DR, Robinson Canó batted two hits in the game.

The Aguilas play the host team, Tomateros de Culiacán Monday, 1 February 2021 at 11pm (Dominican time).
