By defeating Panama, the Dominican Republic ensured a slot in the second round of the Caribbean Series. Six teams are participating in the regional baseball championship. The DR has won its first three games in the series.
These are Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. Panama and Colombia are playing as guest teams.
The Aguilas Cibaeñas took advantage of the poor defense of the Panamanian team to score the many runs. Jon Van Meter delivered as the opening pitcher, keeping the Panamanians from scoring.
The Aguilas Cibaeñas of the Dominican Republic defeated the Federales de Chiquirí of Panama 11-6 runs on 2 February 2021. The game was 10-1 until the 9th inning when Panama delivered its runs.
