The Aguilas Cibaeñas defeated Colombia 3-2 on Thursday, 4 February in Mazatlan, Mexico to win all their games in the regional baseball championship group phase. Dominican Rangel Ravelo decided the game in the ninth inning. Until then, the game had been tied to two runs. It was the fifth consecutive loss for the Colombians and the fifth consecutive win for the Dominicans.
The semi-finals will now be Aguilas Cibaeñas vs. Federales de Panamá and Tomateros (Mexico) vs. Criollos de Caguas (Puerto Rico) on Friday, 5 February. The playoff game will be on Saturday, 6 February.
