Dominican lawyer Juan Francisco Puello Herrera, Baseball Commissioner for the Caribbean and president of the CBPC made the announcement in Mexico where he was accompanied by Vitelio Mejía Ortiz, president of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (Lidom). Mejía Ortiz accepted on behalf of the Dominican league and said he had learned a lot from the staging of the current event in Mazatlan, Mexico that will be applied to the organizing of the next championship.

He said: “It will be a pleasure to host all of you and we assure you of our best effort so that in our hands, the Caribbean Series event maintains all its splendor. We hope that with God’s grace we will have a less complicated scenario in relation to the limitations of Covid-19.”
