A report in Diario Libre questions the legality of a recent contract won by a company (RJC Clear) registered by Dominican baseball player Robinson Canó for garbage collecting in San Pedro de Macorís.
The newspaper says that the initial contract document had stipulated companies participating in the tender must have five-year experience in garbage collecting and this was not met by the company that won the contract. The company had only recently been registered six months ago.
