President Luis Abinader took time from his busy schedule to honor several Dominicans with the Duarte, Sanchez and Mella decoration in the Comendador degree at the Presidential Palace on 11 February 2021. Those honored are Rafael (Fafa) Francisco Taveras Rosario, former deputy Fidelio Arturo Despradel Roque, Ana Josefina Padilla Deschamps, Victor Manuel Baez González, Rafael (Cucuyo) Baez Perez, Jose Rafael Perez Modesto.
