President Luis Abinader was present for the start of works to extend the Avenida Hípica in Santo Domingo East’s municipality. The expansion will connect Las Americas Expressway with the Mella Highway, a stretch of around 4.8 kilometers. RD$561 million have been budgeted for the work, announced Public Works Minister Deligne Ascención. He estimates the work will positively impact a population of around 600,000 persons who live in eastern Santo Domingo.
Last week, President Abinader announced the expansion of the San Isidro highway (Avenida Coronel Rafael Tomás Fernández Domínguez), also benefiting populations living in eastern Santo Domingo.
