Street changes in Santo Domingo

Fifteen streets in residential/commercial areas of the National District changed traffic direction on Saturday, 6 March 2021. The changes are part of a general effort to reduce traffic congestion in the capital city. The city will be testing the road changes for 90 days before making the direction changes permanent.

The streets with road direction changes are:
Teodoro Chasseriau, Fuerzas Armadas, Santa Rosa, Teatro Nacional, Bellas Artes, Paseo de Los Locutores, Winston Arnaud, Pedro Albizu Campos, José Tapia Brea, Emil Boyrie de Moya, among others. They are located in the Evaristo Morales, Quisqueya, Los Prados and Millón neighborhoods.

The road changes are carried out in coordination between the Mayor’s Office of the National District, the Ministry of Public Works, the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant) and the General Transit and Land Transportation Security Agency (Digesett).
