The Dominican football team will compete to qualify for a slot in the Japan Olympic Games during the 15th edition of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf).
The Dominican team roster is:
Goalkeepers: Johan Snick Guzman de los Santos and Alessandro Baroni, Daniel Campana
Defenders: Joao Urbaez, Jose de la Cruz, Brian Lopez, Alejandro Jimenez, Edarlyn Reyes, Lean Torres, Sebastian Mañón
Midfielders: Fabian Messina, Gerard Lavergne, Edison Azcona, Kelvin Martinez
Forwards: Erick Paniagua, Nowend Lorenzo, Dorney Romero, Juan Pineda and Rafael Mata.
The matches will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico from 18 to 30 March. The group stage play will take place at the Jalisco and Akron Stadiums, between 18-25 March.
After round-robin play, the first and second place finishers in each group will advance to the semifinals.
Both semifinal matches will be played on 28 March, at the Jalisco Stadium. The semifinal winners will qualify for the final of this competition and also earn a spot to represent their country at the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament at the Tokyo Summer Games.
The final is scheduled for Tuesday, 30 March at the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico that hosted the 2011 Pan American Games football tournament.
