FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 qualifying rounds to be played in the DR

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) announced that the Dominican Republic will host eight international qualifying games for slots in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium and the San Cristobal Panamerican Stadium.

The match schedule for Qualification Round 1 in the Concacaf region is:
:
Santo Domingo, Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium
24 March: DR vs. Dominica – 5pm
25 March: Panama vs. Barbados – 8pm
28 March: Dominica vs. Panama – 4pm
30: Barbados vs. Anguilla – 7:30pm

San Cristobal Panamerican Stadium
24 March: St. Kitts & Nevis vs Puerto Rico – 7pm
25 March: Trinidad & Tobago vs. Guyana – 7pm
27 March: Turks & Caicos vs. Nicaragua – 7pm
30: Turks & Caicos vs Belize – 7pm

The Dominican Republic team will travel to Miami, Florida to play Anguilla on 27 March at the Inter-Miami FC at 6pm.

Ruben Garcia, president of the Dominican Football Federation, said the staging of these matches is an excellent opportunity for the Dominican Republic to show again its capacity to combine tourism and sports, a combination that works so well for generating important business for the tourism industry and the economy in general.
