A Netflix Latin American film, “Hoy sí,” starring Jennifer Garner and Jenna Ortega has included a Dominican grassroots production. The Netflix movie chose “Claro que Yes,” a production by three sisters, 11-year old Eymi, 9-year old Fracielis and 7-year old Maria Lucia and their cousin Amy Jacil. The girls created the production with the backing of their father, a barber by profession and singer by heart, and launched it for fun on social media. The catchy song caught on. The father, Francis Vasquez is thrilled with the girls’ success. The girls told a Noticias SIN reporter that a Korean group inspired them. The girls live in Ranma, Villa Faro Santo Domingo West.
