Jack Veneno was a star of Dominican television for more than 20 years. He was a colorful pro-wrestler, one who never lost, and later a shill for several products. He is, without a doubt, one of the most famous people in the Dominican Republic, especially for the “baby boomers” that watched him on Saturday afternoon television as he faced off against a series of “rivals” only to come out on top, nearly every time.
In 2015, a documentary (Jack: la historia de Jack Veneno) was released telling his life history.
Jack is now facing a tough opponent, pancreatic cancer that has moved to his lungs. He is currently in the Cruz Jiminian Clinic in Santo Domingo where the prognosis is “reserved.”
