He had tied with Puerto Rican Rafael Campos during the third round of the PGA Tour at the Corales Golf Course in Punta Cana. Yet the wind played to his advantage. So, it was US golfer Joel Dahmen who would receive the trophy for the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship on Sunday, 28 March 2021 from Punta Cana founder, Frank Rainieri and his son Frank Elías Rainieri.
The win is Dahmen’s first PGA Tour victory. He won a US$540,000 cash award of the total US$3 million purse. He also won a PGA Championship berth a spot at Kapalua in the Sentry Tournament of Champions, and 300 points for the FedEx Cup.
