Police reform committee recommends Chamber of Accounts audit the force

The government-appointed committee to make recommendations for the National Police reform is suggesting that the Chamber of Accounts audit the force. The committee recommends that the Minister of Interior & Police request an external audit of the National Police.

“The purpose of this audit is to serve as a basis in the elaboration of a more comprehensive diagnosis covering internal control procedures of the management and processes of the National Police,” states the communication signed by the coordinator of the committee, Servio Tulio Castaños Guzmán.

The decision was taken at the first meeting held on Friday, 16 April 2021.
