President Abinader met with heads of state of Guatemala, Portugal and Andorra during Ibero-American Summit

The Presidency reports that during the 27th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, President Luis Abinader met with the heads of government of Guatemala, Portugal and Andorra.

The Presidency reports that during the bilateral meeting with the President of Guatemala, Alejandro Giammattei, the importance of strengthening diplomatic, trade and mutual collaboration ties were addressed.

President Abinader met with the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. Trade, energy and technology were covered during the meetings and both agreed to strengthen and expand the ties that historically unite the two nations.

In the meeting with the head of government of Andorra, Xavier Espot Zamora, the country leaders spoke of the need to expand diplomatic ties, and increase trade, tourism and other areas between the two nations.

In these meetings, President Abinader was accompanied by Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez, the Dominican ambassador to Spain Juan Bolivar Diaz, the director of ProDominicana, Viviana Riveiro and the Dominican deputy foreign minister for multilateral affairs, Ruben Silié.
